Dear Friends of Die Oog,
Please note that we have still not had confirmation from the city as to when access will be allowed back into Die Oog. The following extract from the city’s document:
COVID-19, Alert level 3, Operations and service notifications, updated 06/07/20, confirms that access is still restricted.
We hope to see this change soon but there is no guarantee as to when.
On a positive note I can confirm that the recent rains have seen water levels start to make a small recovery and we can see the coots and yellow-billed ducks back in the pond. The wetland is looking full of life with dozens of Cape Dwarf chameleons out and about.
Our gardener has resumed his duties and can continue to maintain the grounds with your fee’s and kind donations. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the membership fees and donations are all we have to keep the space groomed and nurtured.
If you would like to make a donation or renew your membership for R50 please do so via EFT or snapscan. For more details please visit our Donate page.
Kind regards,
Brett Castel
FODO Chairman
